From the Pastor Dr. Cliet Wilburn
Thank you for visiting our site. I am indeed grateful that the Lord has blessed me to serve as under-shepherd of this flock. The greatest assignment that any man could receive is the divine mandate to shepherd God’s people.
Five years ago (12) brave souls accepted the challenge of the Church Planting Department of the General Baptist Convention of Oklahoma to plant the First African American Baptist Church in the City of Edmond, OK.
This missionary endeavor has been an adventure of faith and struggle, faith that with God all things are possible. Struggle each day gave us an opportunity to overcome evil with good.
On January 26, 2003, we opened the doors of the Colligate Ministry and held our first worship service. The subject of my sermon was “Come to Bethesda”, the house of healing deliverance forgiveness and restoration.
We have faced many trials, hardships, set backs, disappoints, and obstacles. However, in the midst of life’s difficulties God has shown us His Faithfulness. We have gone from victory to victory because of God’s Grace and Mercy.
Today we say thank you to all the Pastors and fellow saints who have made the Bethesda vision a reality.
